handmade project

Justine Gaignault founded her studio in Paris in 2022 after graduating in Textile Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. Her passion for hand-weaving led her to work on bespoke artisanal projects for interior designers and architects.

Her inspiration stems not only from the graphic heritage of Anni and Josef Albers, but also from her fascination with natural French materials. The wool used in her creations is entirely French, and she aims to contribute to the revitalization of this local industry. By featuring French wool in its textiles, Justine wishes to celebrate the know-how of local breeders and spinners, but also to encourage more conscious, environmentally-friendly consumption.
